Deutsch: Das Wappen entstammt einem Gewölbeschlussstein des Martinsturms aus dem 14. Jahrhundert. Das Doppelrad steht für das Kurfürstentum Mainz und der Schlüssel steht für den Heiligen Petrus, dieser hielt das Patrozinium der Ortes inne. Die Tingierung entspricht der des Wappens des Kurfürstentums Mainz. Die Zeichnung stammt von Heinz Ritt.
