| Description |
English: Portretul contelui Eitel Friedrich V prezintă un bărbat în vârstă, într-o ținută demnă. Personajul este redat frontal, având capul ușor întors spre stânga. Este îmbrăcat într-o armură de paradă de sec. XVI, de sub care se zărește cămașa de zale, iar pe umărul și brațul stâng poartă o mantie de blană, de culoare maronie. Atitudinea impunătoare este subliniată în mod pregnant de cele două atribute, spada și bastonul. Se remarcă, în comparație cu armurile pictate de către Klimt, faptul că aceasta este, ca decorație, mult mai simplă, strălucirile fiind metalice și reci. Sunt de remarcat însă valențele decorative ale draperiei din fundal, cît și ale mantiei.Semnat dreapta jos, cu negru F Matsch (F-ul și M-ul sunt unite, F-ul fiind scris în oglindă), inscripția la partea inferioră, cu galben Eitel Fridrich V (1512) |
