Description
English: Fresco of the late 13th century on the Counter-Facede of SanBevignate, Perugia. Scene from a battle between Templars and a Saracen army, possibly the battle of Nablus (1242).

The city gate is visible to the left. The three horsemen facing right are Saracens, one of them being unhorsed by a mounted Christian armed with a dagger and a round shield entering from the right. The front legs of the horse of a Templar are visible to the right. The central portion of the fresco preserves most of the upper body and head of this rider, showing him to be a Templar armed with a heater shield, with the Templar emblem both on his helmet and his shield. Behind him follows another mounted Templar wielding the Baucent war flag.

The fresco originally stretched across the full width of the wall, but only three minor fragments of its right half have been preserved.
