Une toile concernant le même thème a été présentée par Eugénie Servières au Salon de 1814 (no 1838) : Lancelot du Lac et Genièvre visitant les tombeaux d’Yseult et de Tristan, d'après le poème La Table Ronde d'Auguste Creuzé de Lesser : L’ermite à la garde duquel sont confiés les restes de ces deux amants, vient d’introduire leurs amis dans l’antique chapelle où ils reposent. / Ciel ! de Tristan le chien fidèle est entré, / Expiroit là près d'un marbre expiré ! / ........................................................ / Prenant racine au tombeau de Tristan, / Un lierre ami gravissoit la muraille, / Et s'inclinoit par le plus doux élan / sur le tombeau d'Yseult de Cornouaille. |
