Summary

Description
English: This chart visually represents the prescribed categories of Zakat (obligatory charity in Islam) spending as outlined in the Holy Quran, Surah At-Tawbah (9:60). The Quran specifies eight eligible categories for the distribution of Zakat:

The Poor (Al-Fuqara): Those with insufficient resources for their basic needs. The Needy (Al-Masakin): Individuals in a more severe state of poverty than the poor. Zakat Administrators: Those employed to collect and distribute Zakat. Reconciliation of Hearts: To bring those inclined towards Islam closer to the faith or foster harmony. Freeing Captives (Riqab): For the emancipation of slaves or freeing prisoners. Those in Debt (Gharimin): To assist those burdened by overwhelming debts. In the Cause of Allah (Fi Sabilillah): For efforts that promote the welfare of the community, such as education, healthcare, or defense. Wayfarers (Ibn Sabil): Travelers in need who are stranded or without resources. References:
